August 3, 2020
Dear Woodcrest Families,
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. I know we are in unprecedented times. My hope is that you all had time to enjoy some fun family time and are ready to get back to work. I know all of us at Woodcrest are ready and cannot wait to get back to the important work of educating your children.
The first day of school is August 11. As you know, we will start the year participating in Distance Learning. Our staff has been working diligently to design a virtual learning experience that will promote high quality classroom instruction, social emotional wellbeing and support, targeted interventions to address learning gaps, and enrichment opportunities so that our students can continue to pursue their passions and interests. While we still have work to do before publishing our plans, I can share that each child will have a considerable amount of live, online instruction provided by Woodcrest teachers.
When you pick up your student’s materials, included will be your teacher’s Remind or SeeSaw information. Please sign up as soon as you receive this. This is the teacher’s primary form of communication with families. In addition, you can find teacher contact information, as well as updates and news from me, on our Woodcrest Distance Learning website at:
Woodcrest Distance Learning Website: https://tinyurl.com/yy7upqnw
For user info and password, please contact the school.
If you have not completed your online registration through PowerSchool Registration, please do so as soon as possible. It is imperative that we have the most current health and emergency information on your child.
Woodcrest will have grab and go lunch distribution from 11-1 Monday through Friday starting August 11th. As of yet, the governor has not waived the fees. Those wanting free or reduced lunch will have to reapply. For more information, please check the FSD Nutrition Services website at: https://fullertonnutrition.org/
I know there is so much uncertainty right now. Please know we are doing everything we can to make Distance Learning a positive learning experience for your child. We are all this together. Please remember to stay safe, stay healthy, stay strong, and stay PAWSITIVE!
